LinkedIn is the world’s largest professional network with 300 million members in over 200 countries and territories around the globe. It was founded in 2002 and launched May of 2003.
LinkedIn’s mission is simple, “Connect the world’s professionals to make them more productive and successful.” A company should use LinkedIn for many reasons. It increases brand visibility, it has targeted ads, it helps recruit new talent, and it has a product feature where a company can share what they have to offer for future clients.
LinkedIn is a home for many professionals to connect and get to know a potential new hire. In other words, LinkedIn is an online resume. And much like the other social media sites, a business can share and post whatever they feel is important.
